Linda Burkley, APR
Linda Burkley, IOM, APR, is a skilled facilitator and an experienced public relations practitioner. With almost 20 years of experience in non-profit and government communications management, Linda has developed countless strategic campaigns, planned large and small events, managed political campaigns and provided training and leadership development for employees, volunteers, boards of directors, elected officials and business executives. Her business acumen and service to the community led to her being named one of the 2008 Top 50 Women in Business in Pennsylvania by Governor Edward G. Rendell.
Linda’s training skills come from years of giving presentations, keynote speeches and full-time teaching at Slippery Rock University, one of Pennsylvania’s state system schools. She also was an adjunct faculty member at Butler County Community College , where she developed and taught popular adult education courses such as Writing the Great American Novel and Planning an Awesome Event. Currently, she is an instructor of Transformational Leadership at the University of Phoenix ’s Harrisburg campus.
Recognized with creative awards from the Pittsburgh and Central Pennsylvania Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Pittsburgh International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Linda is also an award-winning writer. Her experience on both sides of the microphone givers clients in-depth and unique perspectives on media relations and message development.
